Are you hiring?
KRB is a solo contractor who does not currently hire employees.  However, from time to time, we will
bring on other VA's and/or subcontractors to assist with various projects or task.  These individuals are
chosen by industry need and experience.
Why do you charge sales tax?
In the State of Texas, VA services fall under the Data Processing Category with the State Comptrollers
office.  These services include, but are not limited to: Word Processing, Data Entry, Database Creation
and Maintenance, Web Creation and Maintenance, Desktop Publishing, and some stand alone
bookkeeping service such as: Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and Check Writing.
However, please note that sales taxes are only charged to companies located in the state of Texas, all
others are non-taxable.  More on this question can be found on the
State Comptrollers website.
How do I become a VA?
The first step to becoming a VA is experience.  Having corporate executive administrative assistant
experience is a great plus. Then I would suggest joining some of the VA networking sites such as:
VANA, IVAA, VA Fourm, and/or VACOC just to name a few.  On these sites you will be able to find
answers to all of your questions and get the support you will need to succeed.
